Hi.  My name is Ryan, and this is my ePortfolio.  The purpose of this site is to allow me to explore my collegiate and post-collegiate experiences, as well as to share my story with you.

As you read my narrative,  I invite you to think about your own experience, your own story which has informed who you are today (and who you might be tomorrow). 



Before you dive into my ePortfolio, I think it's important for me to give you some context into who I am.  I am a recent graduate of Virginia Tech.  I am a 2013 Teach For America Corps Member.  I am a brother.  I am a son.  I am a  competitor.  I am a believer, a hoper, a dreamer.

I am a leader.  And no, this doesn't mean I have a fancy title.  This doesn't mean that I'm "in charge."  This means that I am a part of a group of people about whom I care, in whom I am willing to invest a significant amount of time.  Leadership, stripped down of all the hype, is rooted in relationships.  It is a desire to care for, serve, and nurture others.  If you can do that, you're a leader in my book.  Click here to learn more about my leadership philosophy.
